Action and awareness trip
Thank you for considering joining an “action and awareness” team. We would love for you to join us for an unforgettable trip to Cambodia! Come and see the work that we are doing in restoration and reintegration for survivors of sexual assault and exploitation. Our goal is for you to see a wide spectrum of circumstances that contribute to girls being vulnerable to sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Our heart is for everyone to become ‘aware’ of the challenges so many girls deal with in this beautiful country and be inspired in a greater measure to continue to make a difference in the lives of these ‘ones’ after your return home.
The 2023 trip will be in Cambodia from the 30th June - 7th July. All team members are picked up from the airport and hosted by our staff for the entire trip. When teams visit the SHE Rescue Home they join in the regularly scheduled ‘fun activities’ time in the home. Teams organise games, baking and fun activities similar to a school incursion activity.
When teams visit SHE families they are invited into the family home in their local communities. Teams organise games, crafts and fun activities for kids, family and the community.
PRICING
The trip costs $1400USD *subject to a minimum number of 6 applicants.
This includes:
Accommodation for 7 nights (twin share hotels in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap)
All ground transport, including a flight to Siem Reap
Team leader and translator
Food (three meals per day)
Entry fees (killing fields, genocide museum, Angkor Wat temple complex, floating village)
Team giving (covers 50kg of rice for family visits)
Team pack (including goodies and gifts)
A one year sponsorship of a girl ($10 per month)
Does not include:
Flights to Cambodia
Travel insurance
Tourist visa fee ($35 USD)
Optional extras (Ox cart ride/royal palace)
Snacks and drinks between meals
Money for shopping
